Once your application has been submitted, you will receive an Application ID Number via email. This email will serve as confirmation that your application has been received by the Office of Student Assignment and the ID number will be your reference code when inquiring about your transfer status.

Application Types *

General COSA (Change of School Assignment)
For families residing within Fulton County Schools (FCS) attendance boundaries. This includes requests to attend schools offering 3DE, STEM, STEAM, International Baccalaureate, or Visual and Performing Arts programs. Employee COSA
For full-time, benefit-eligible employees of Fulton County Schools. Allows employees to request school placement for their children at or near their worksite. Special Needs Scholarship (SB10)
For eligible FCS students receiving special education services under an IEP or accommodations through Section 504.

Enrollment Options for Employee Children *

All Fulton County employees eligible for enrollment in the district-provided healthcare or state benefit plan may apply to send their child(ren) to a Fulton County school.
Applications for employees wishing to enroll their child at their particular worksite or the feeder school serving their worksite will not be subject to space requirements.
Employee children can stay through their terminal year at the school and must reapply when transitioning to middle or high school.
Enrollment is contingent upon the parent's or guardian's continued employment in the District.
Students must maintain satisfactory attendance, academic performance, and behavior to remain enrolled.

After receiving a Change of School Assignment (COSA), the student must meet the following requirements to maintain enrollment. Failure to meet these requirements may result in probation or withdrawal:

Transportation: Parents must provide transportation.
Attendance: Students must maintain satisfactory attendance.
Academic Performance: Students must maintain passing grades.
Behavior: Students must follow all district discipline expectations.

Compliance is monitored every nine weeks. Failure to comply may result in probation or withdrawal.

By submitting this application, I understand that:

COSA requests are considered based on space availability and may include a lottery selection process.
If a student is accepted, they may remain at the school through their terminal year and must reapply when transitioning to middle or high school.
Approval of one student does not extend to siblings.
If my child receives special education services and has an IEP, transfer approval depends on the receiving school's ability to meet my child's needs.
Athletic eligibility is not guaranteed and must be confirmed with the Georgia High School Association (GHSA).
Transportation is not provided by Fulton County Schools for COSA transfers.
Students must maintain satisfactory attendance, academic performance, and behavior to remain enrolled.
I am the parent/legal guardian of the student and will submit appropriate documentation as required.
